Analysys of spectrum allocation

Analysys of spectrum allocation

May 28, 2016

A study conducted by Analysys, and Hogan & Hartson, will help French telecoms regulators come to a conclusion as to where the space freed by the digital change over, on the ultra high frequency spectrum, will be most efficiently used.

The study highlights a few key points including:

Assigning the released spectrum for mobile broadband services, would increase the French economy, more than by just allocating the spectrum to TV services, and a shared scheme, between electronic communications and audiovisual industries, should add EUR25 billion to the economy between 2012-2014.

Allocating the spectrum to Mobile broadband services will become the most productive, with the government’s aim of 100% of the population having access to broadband internet.
